Ninety Six Switchbacks from Wotans Throne - Mt Whitney Trail
Looking S from Wotans Throne over the Mt Whitney Trail 96 Switchbacks. The lower switchbacks catch the morning light well here at dawn as the trail rises from Trail Camp (opposite side of the lake below center). The trail/switchbacks rise right where the straight line of scree crosses the snow at mid right center, then gradually trend right in more switchbacks towards TraiCrest (the wide notch right at the top of the snow chute right).
