Mt Whitney Over Guitar Lake Panorama - John Muir Trail
Panorama looking SE over Guitar Lake with the backside of Mt Whitney to left, and Mt Hitchcock to right. Just above Guitar Lake out of view are the Hitchcock Lakes. Mt Muir is the blocky little point directly above the wedge of green at Guitar lake left. The trail up Whitney runs to the left of that green, passes under the rough stuff beneath Mt Muir, switchbacking up the talus to the little sharp v notch which is Trailcrest. The Trail Junction to Whitney splits off just below that, and traverses the ridge left to the peak (off camera left and blocked from view here by the backside anyway).
