Looking NNE from the S corner of Tulainyo Lake, at the base of the N side of Russell Carillon Col. This lake is sometimes referred to as the highest elevation lake (12822') in the continental U.S., but this may be subjective given the distinction between lakes, ponds, and tarns is not clearly defined.
