Bighorn Plateau from Tawny Point - Sierra
Looking S over the Bighorn Plateau from halfway down Tawny Point. The JMT comes up from Tyndall Creek to the right, along the far edge of the trees at the base of Tawny point, then curves S across the middle of the plateau, just to the left of the plateau lake greensward. The trail continues on SSE directly towards the isolated peak (MT Guyot) at center background, but turns E around the nearest visible range towards MT Whitney well before reaching it. California, Sierra Nevada Mountains, Sequoia National Park, Tawny Point. Off the John Muir Trail near Mile 196.
