Kearsarge lakes from Kearsarge Pass - Sierra
Looking West over Kearsarge Lakes to left and middle, (a grouping of 5-6 lakes strung out beneath the Kearsarge Pinnacles at center). Prominent farther down the valley at the end of the Pinnacles to the right is Bullfrog Lake. The Lower Trail runs down through the center of the valley, around the far edge of Bullfrog Lake to connect with the John Muir Trail, before dropping down into Bubbs Creek Valley directly behind the Pinnacles, and then follows Bubbs Creek SSE along the Pinnacles backside. A slightly higher trail w/ even more marvelous views along this valley runs along the right slope of the valley until it drops back down to center just past Bullfrog. Mt Bago is the reddish peak at the end of our view here of the valley, about 3 miles away. Directly below it sits Charlotte Lake, hidden by the mountain slope at right.
