Panorama from the summit of Painted Lady. Left to right is Mt Rixford the highest, Glen Pass directly above the large Tarn, the Rae Lakes stretched out below center, Diamond Peak, then Black Mtn to their right, and the tip of Dragon lake peaking out of the high basin below Black mtn. The JMT comes up the valley on the right side of the first 2 rae Lakes before crossing the isthmus between Upper and Midddle, and continuing on in a circuitous and switchbacking path up over Glen Pass. California, Sierra Nevada Mountains, Kings Canyon National Park, Rae Lakes, Painted Lady. Off the John Muir Trail near Mile 177.
